The order on the hard drive is FAT, C:\, FAT32. Looking at disk management in XP, the hard disk that has the C:\ partition also has two other partitions, both hidden from Windows, namely a 63MB FAT16 partition (Dell diagnostics) and a FAT32 partition (Dell restore to original install using Ctrl F11). The C:\ partition is 229.5 GB, ~23GB used on a 250GB hard drive. I have moved the My Documents folder with all my data to a second hard drive, which I back up separately to an external hard drive, so don't need that included in the system image. I am considering getting software to make backup image of my system (C:\) partition, containing XP and programs currently installed.
